Travelling By Air With A Baby

Tomorrow we will be flying to South Carolina to visit family and my husband who is a pilot will be meeting us in Atlanta. This means that I will be travelling from Salt Lake City to Atlanta all by myself with baby Luke (4 months old). My father-in-law will be dropping me off at the airport and since he is a pilot as well he will be able to help me get to my gate. I am confident I can do this, I have flown by myself a few times, but am a little nervous about doing it with a baby. I will be posting as soon as I get back a list of what I packed and what I did to travel with a baby. The most terrifying part about it is if i get stuck in a middle seat, it will be very squishy and hard to breastfeed my son. Standby flights, which is what we will be doing, do not guarantee a seat either. That being said, the next scariest part about this trip is if we get stranded at the airport. Being stranded alone is one thing, being stranded with a baby is a whole new ball game! We may be on our own again for the flight home too if my husband has to go straight to work after our trip. Wish me luck and posts about how the flight went and how to pack for two with such little space, etc. will be coming soon! P.s. I had to pack for a baby and myself with only one roller bag and one backpack.. also one of the many 'perks' of standby, hah you only get to bring two carry on items. Much Love Cassandra
